Weapon of Voice 2016
On May 20th, 2016 we hosted Weapon of Voice, a free evening of the arts for people who have experienced abuse.
We held a crowdfunding campaign where the community purchased tickets for people living in shelters, people who had grown up in the foster system and those who have broken their silence at Reclaim Your Voice events. We are grateful to our sponsors and our community for helping us surpass our fundraising goal, funding another year of Reclaim Your Voice programming.
Weapon of Voice 2016 featured a screening of video portraits featuring people sharing their stories, live spoken word performances, and a musical performance by Grammy Award winning artist Mýa!
