“As a part of our Restorative Initiative, we will be hosting Reclaim Your Voice, for an event that aims to provide survivors of abuse and sexual violence with the space to reclaim their own voices, build community and share their stories.
The event will be composed of:
- Workshops dedicated to self expression through artistic (visual, written and oral) means
- Opportunities for survivors to share or listen to one another
- A chance for participants to anonymously and confidentially share what they need and want for their own disclosure experiences at Queen's.
Food will also be provided for all attendees.
Registration to attend closes on Thursday evening at 11pm. To maintain the privacy of the event, the event location will be released only to registered event attendees.
Attendees are welcome to come alone or bring a friend/support system to the event! We aim to make this a safe and confidential space for survivors of abuse and violence to feel empowered to share their stories, with an emphasis on community building and wellness support. As such, we will have trained individuals to support you, however you may need. And, we aim to create an environment that allows you step in and out of the space, as you feel comfortable.
Who is Reclaim Your Voice?
